Cause
An issue has been discovered when ProjectWise Navigator 08.09.04.57 is used in conjunction with AutoPLANT 2D and 3D applications, while in a ProjectWise environment. Several files shared between the two applications are inadvertently updated incorrectly when ProjectWise Navigator is installed.
Symptoms
As a result, impacted applications will load, but will be unable to open or access project data. Additionally, applications will have unexpected behavior such as menus not loading or menus that do not function correctly.
Resolution
1. Uninstall ProjectWise Navigator 08.09.04.57
2. Run RemoveFWAPShared.vbs which is stored in the ZIP file.
a. Launch the VBS file by extracting the file and double clicking on it like an EXE
b. The VBS file will remove unwanted versions of Plant Framework files. The list of removed files is displayed below.
i. APApplication3.dll
ii. APBrowse.dll
iii. APProjectDB3.dll
iv. APProjectObject3.dll
v. APUser3.dll
vi. APVariables3.dll
3. From Add/Remove Programs select the “Repair” option from Plant Framework.
4. From Bentley Project Administrator, log in as a supervisor and in ProjectWise > Configure node enable ProjectWise support and set the correct data source.
5. Install ProjectWise Navigator 08.09.04.60, which is available from SELECT Downloads.
