Visual SQL Query Builder forms now supports forms review using saved VSQL forms. To create a form in VSQL:
- Open VSQL through the Settings > Database > Query Builder dialog.
- Create a query and execute the query.
- When the form is displayed, choose Forms > Save As and save the form to the default directory.
- The form name must be entered into the MSCATALOG Screenform column. Access the MSCATALOG through Settings > Database > Setup.
- Locate the table that the form was generated from in the MSCATALOG tables list. Click on the table name to highlight it. Add the form name to the MSCATALOG in the Screen Form area, including the .RSC extension.
- Click OK on the MSCATALOG dialog.
- The final step is to activate the screen forms by choosing Settings > Database > Dialog, and selecting Text Screen in the Forms menu and keying in VSQL REVIEW. Alternately, a button may be created, using this keyin, to active the forms when reviewing an element.
Answer: The connection dialog and the connection process from MicroStation 95 and MicroStation SE remains the same in MicroStation/J.
Answer: Yes. All of the tools available in MicroStation 95 and and MicroStation SE are included with MicroStation/J. Continued enhancements have been made to the Visual SQL Query Builder application, available through the Settings > Database menu (only after a database connection has been established).
Answer: While Personal Oracle may work in some instances, we cannot guarantee performance and it is not supported.
