Question 1: Will MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1 run with both MicroStation/J and SE?
Answer:Yes! There are two separate builds of MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1; one for MicroStation J and one for MicroStation SE. MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1 will run with MicroStation J v07.01.01.57 and greater as well as, MicroStation SE v05.07.01.22.
Question 2: On what operating systems is MicroStation I/RAS B supported?
Answer: MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1 for MicroStation J is supported on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 98 and Windows 2000. MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1 for MicroStation SE is supported on Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0.

Answer: MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1 was tested with the latest versions of InterPlot 10.01.xx.xx and 10.00.xx.xx.
Question 4: Will I/RAS Engineer run with MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1?
Answer: With the release of MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1, I/RAS Engineer functionality is now included in the installation and is fully compatible.

Question 5: Where is my MicroStation I/RAS B product directory located?
Answer: MicroStation I/RAS B is loaded in the following directories: <drive>:\Bentley\Program\MicroStation\Irasb for MicroStation J and <drive>:\WIN32APP\ustation\Irasb for MicroStation SE.
Question 6: Is MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1 compatible with SELECTserver licensing?
Answer: MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1 for MicroStation J is compatible with SELECTserver licensing, I/RAS B v7.1 for MicroStation SE is not compatible with SELECTserver licensing. To use SELECTserver licensing you must have SELECTserver loaded on your server, a stand alone license will not work. Then, you need to put the following licenses, "irasb.lic" and "msj.lic", in your Bentley\Program\Licensing directory. Both licenses must contain the following line only:

Answer: To uninstall MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1, simply use the Add/Remove Programs utility located under Start > Settings > Control Panel.

Answer: Yes. MicroStation I/RAS B docks its menu palettes in the same manner as MicroStation.

Answer: The documentation is located in your MicroStation I/RAS B product directory (see Question 5). The User Guide (IRAS_B.pdf) can be viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader you can get a free copy at http://www.adobe.com. The online help is also available by clicking the Help menu and selecting "Topics".
Question 10: How do I start MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1?
Answer: In recent releases of I/RAS B, a separate Startup menu was created under the Start > Programs section. You can now start MicroStation I/RAS B v7.1 by accessing the Start > Programs > MicroStation v7.1 > MicroStation I_RASB icon when running with MicroStation J and Start > Programs > MicroStation SE > MicroStation I_RASB icon when running with MicroStation SE.

Question 11: I'm experiencing a problem opening .CAL files. How can I resolve this?
Answer: You must change the default setting of the variable IRASB_CALS_CONVERTER to "New" instead of "Previous".
Question 12: How do I install MicroStation I/RAS B via LinkNet?
Answer: LINKNET can be installed with a local AND remote copy of MicroStation. To install MicroStation I/RAS B using LinkNet, first map to the MicroStation Server drive on which MicroStation I/RAS B is installed. Then, from the client machine, go to this mapped drive and point to your IrasB directory. You will find the IBLinkNet.exe file; double-click on it and accept all default settings. Your MicroStation I/RAS B will then be installed locally. *** Note*** When installing MicroStation I/RAS B via LinkNet on a full MicroStation J client, you must add "MicroStation" to the suggested default path "javascript:void(null);".

Question 13: Is InterPlot compatible with I/RAS B for PowerDraft?
Answer: InterPlot is compatible with PowerDraft & I/RAS B only if there is a full installation of MicroStation and InterPlot Server located on a server machine. The server must have a network shared printer that is accesssible to InterPlot clients. Finally, the IPLOT_DLOG_USE_DIRECT_MODE variable in the iplot.cfg file must be set to = false.
