Support for AutoCAD 2005 - This version of AutoPLANT Structural is fully compatible with AutoCAD version 2005.

AutoPLANT Structural is a set of AutoCAD-based, applications that provides structural designers and engineers with a powerful 3D steel modeling, detailing, and fabrication tool that will greatly facilitate structural engineering, steel-framed building construction and all shape-based construction tasks.

Applications in this workgroup include: 

  • Bentley Structural Modeler - Easy-to-use, steel modeling application, suitable for fast 3D modeling of new or existing structures.
  • Bentley Structural Engineering - Incorporates all of the functionality of Structural Modeler with the added ability to produce detailed frame drawings and comprehensive parts and assembly lists from the completed model.
  • Bentley Structural Detailer - Incorporates all of the functionality of Structural Engineering with the powerful Detail Center for automating the management and production of detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.

Updating Previous Versions

If you are upgrading from an earlier version of the application, the AutoPLANT Structural installer will first uninstall previous version, It will then install 8.6 version of the product. You can also uninstall older version manually before installing AutoPLANT Structural 8.6.

You must have a CD drive or Internet access for product installation. Before you install the product you should confirm that you have adequate hardware and software capabilities.

Product Installation

SELECT Services Online/MySELECT CD: When you order a custom CD from MySELECT CD the product directory structure for this product appears as shown. To install from the CD locate and run the setup.exe file and follow the online instructions.

Downloading the files from SELECT Services Online/Download - the download process gives you a choice to save the file to a specified location, or to begin the installation from the download area.

Bentley Licensing

To download the products, create a MySELECT CD or to complete the licensing process, you must have the appropriate roles assigned the Site Administrator for your company. If you have not been assigned these roles you will need to contact the Site Administrator and make a request to add permissions to your profile. The name of your Site Administrator can be obtained from the Bentley website at SELECTservices Online at http://selectservices.bentley.com. Select MySupport Account / Permissions. Clicking on the List SELECTservices Administration button will list the Site Administrator(s) at your company.
