WaterCAD and WaterGEMS V8 XM Edition

Bentley is pleased to announce the availability of WaterCAD and WaterGEMS V8 XM Edition SELECT Update 2 (08.09.165.11) from SELECTservices Online.
WaterCAD and WaterGEMS provide water utilities and consulting firms with easy-to-use hydraulic and water quality modeling tools to analyze, design, and optimize water distribution systems.
In line with Bentley's commitment to continuous product improvement, this release (v08.09.165.11) includes the following key new features, enhancements, and minor fixes:
New Features:
- ArcGIS integration with support for ArcGIS 9.2 (Only WaterGEMS)
- MicroStation integration with support for MicroStation 8.9.3
- Windows Vista compatibility for stand-alone and MicroStation 8.9.3
Enhancements:
- Demand Control Center: Added "Filter on current selection"
- Unit Demand Control Center: Added "Filter on current selection"
- Print-to-scale feature in stand-alone platform
- Improved cost estimation for pipe elements
- LoadBuilder: New polygon shapefile support for nearest node method
- Ability to turn off WaterGEMS integration in ArcGIS without uninstalling
- Support for copying multiple user notifications at once
- Added ability to include scenario name to reports
- Added time steps to FlexTables and reports
- Added ability to invert color coding
- Support for output files larger than 2Gb
- Batch split pipe tool now stores information in the element notes
Fixes:
Several key stability issues were addressed in this release along with a number of performance and productivity enhancements in areas such us database maintenance and compaction, elevation extraction (TRex), sub-model management, EPANET import and export, geospatial demand assignment (LoadBuilder), dynamic queries, AutoCAD integration, and model controls among others. Bentley recommends this update for all users based on these improvements alone.
Instructions to download or create a CD:
- Click on the Downloads/MySELECT CD hyperlink in the SELECTservices Online page
- If you are not logged in to Bentley.com, you will be prompted to enter your username and password
- Select "Haestad Products" from the Search by product pull-down menu and click the Search button at the bottom of the page.
- Using the checkboxes, select the product(s) you want to download or create a CD with and click Continue.
- Select whether you want to download or burn a CD with your selection.
