Bentley CRM Upgrade to SAP and How It Affects Your Online Support Experience

Bentley is in the process of deploying new systems to manage all of our User interactions. These systems will support many of our processes including User records and system access, Product Licensing, Administration, Product Delivery, and Technical Support.

 

Below are links (click on the tool name) to detailed previews of the exciting changes to some of your SELECTservices Online tools.

 

Note: The KnowledgeBase and User Management tools will open in a new browser window. Pop up blockers will have to be disabled or allow pop ups for these applications.

 

User Management - Replaces the Permissions Tool located in the My Account section of SELECTservices and is available to SELECTservices Site Administrators only.

 

A few highlights of new functionality include:

 

  • Add/Delete users from your account
  • Lock users out of SELECTservices Online
  • Reset passwords
  • Create other SELECTservices Site Administrators
  • Add/Remove online authorizations

KnowledgeBase - Search Technical Support's database of solutions. Our KnowledgeBase allows you to quickly locate solutions that have already been provided to other users. This system will continue to grow each and every day as cases are resolved by our support analysts.

 

A few highlights of new functionality include:

  • Perform a quick search simply by entering a string of text or you can use the advanced search. The advanced search enables you to search by "Any Words", "Exact Phrase", "Exclude Any Words" and will also allow you to search by attributes. Attributes can be included or excluded from the search results.
  • When you click "Search", search results are retrieved and displayed in the form of a list. That list contains possible solutions to your problem.
    Clicking on the short description of a solution will display detailed information to include any attachments that may apply to the solution.

    Included options on the detailed view of a solution include the ability to
    Print the solution, Rate the solution, Download its attachments, E-mail the solution and its attachments to a third party and Add a solution to "My Solutions" which is a way to book mark specific solutions for future reference.

License Tool - One of the benefits of SELECT is an Online License Tool that allows you to manage your sites licenses. To log into this area you must either be a Site/Multi-Site Administrator or be granted access by your SELECTservices Site Administrator.

  • A new user friendly interface
  • View and manage node locked licenses
  • View products and their usages assigned to specific SELECT servers
  • Reassign SELECT Server licenses
  • Issue Home Use Licenses
  • Request Bentley Redline Sponsorship codes
